LEILA ERMINTRUDE JOHNSON aged 91 of Ixora Drive, West Terrace, St. James and formerly of Butlers Avenue, Spooners Hill, St. Michael and the UK, peacefully entered into rest at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, January 19, 2018.
Beloved mother of Shirley Hurley, Marjorie Vidal (USA), Patricia Lake (Jamaica), Trevor, Richard and Norine Johnson, Deborah Bidwell (UK) and the late Anthony ‘Tony’ Keith Johnson and Elizabeth Ann Gayle (UK);

Grandmother of Sergeant Adrian Hurley (Royal Barbados Police Force Band), Wayne Johnson, the late Donna Johnson and others abroad;

Great grandmother of 10;

Sister of Gloria Belgrave (Canada) and Edrick Blackett (USA);

Aunt of Barbara Campbell (Canada), Caroline Haynes, other nephews and nieces abroad;

Mother-in-law of Mark Vidal (USA), Winston Hurley and Robert Bidwell (UK);

Friend of Audley and Joyce Knight.

The funeral of the late Leila Ermintrude Johnson leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St Michael on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 8 a.m. for The Cathedral of St. Michael and All Angels, St. Michael’s Row, Bridgetown where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. for the service. The funeral will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the internment.

The Organist and members of the Church Choir are kindly asked to attend. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 7 a.m.

Parking will be permitted in Queens Park; please follow the directions of the Rangers.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 4-6 p.m.
