Loving father of George Edghill, David Edghill (UK) and the late Richard Lobban;
Brother of Elocter Edghill;
Grandfather of Greg, James, Jordan and Laura Edghill (UK), Linda Yearwood, Larry Marshall and Dr. Ria Edghill;
Great-grandfather of Victoria, Rebecca and Jacob Edghill (UK), Nathan and Noah Marshall and JasminePerle Yearwood Rowe;
Great-uncle of Sheena Edghill-Smith and Claire Edghill;
Father-in-Law of Mavis Edghill (UK) and Sandra Edghill;
Friend of Elaine Daniel, Denis and Claire Haynes, Malcolm and Jean Murray and many others.
The funeral of the late Lawrence Adolphus Edghill leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Wednesday, 10th June, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. for St. Mary’s Church, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the service follow by the and interment in the Churchyard.
Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, on Wednesday, 10th May, 2020 no later than 8:00 a.m.

He was a gracious and committed fellow parishioner, and he brought those qualities to his service on the Saint Thomas Church Usher Corps. Larry was one of the folks who made our fellowship hour a pleasure to attend. Regardless of how large the group might have been, he always seemed able to speak with everyone, and was always among the last to leave. That’s because he genuinely liked people and enjoyed the company of others.
I am glad that he was blessed with a long life and that he closed that life in Barbados, a place of beauty and warmth. It was a pleasure to have known him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

My wife and I were friends with Larry through Saint Thomas Church in New York City. He served the church faithfully as an usher, welcoming visitors and parishioners as they entered the narthex from Fifth Avenue. I will always remember his smile, his dignified manner and wit, and his unique sense of humor. We shared many laughs over the years.
My wife and I missed seeing Larry on Sundays once he was no longer able to serve as an usher. I spoke with him by phone several times and made occasional visits to his building in Brooklyn. We sent a photo once our first child was born in early 2013, but lost touch with Larry shortly thereafter. We’re glad to know now that he returned to Barbados in 2015.
We are grateful for the video stream of the lovely service and especially enjoyed George’s words of appreciation for his father.
We send our deepest condolences to the entire family. Larry is missed by many in New York and will be remembered in our prayers.
May he rest in peace.
