Murrell Keith Whittaker
Retired Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Royal Barbados Police Force, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2019 after a brief illness.
With over 42 years of service to the RBPF and a strong commitment to “Family & Force”, Keith leaves behind a legacy of integrity, fairness and a passion for caring and upholding what is right.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Gaulda Whittaker and his brother Frank and nephew Paul Whittaker.
He is survived by his wife Grace and his children Keith, Sean, Candace, Golda, Cecile, Valerie, Carol Ann, Grace and Keitha;
He will be dearly missed by his 13 grand-children and 2 great-grand-children;
His brother Lionel;
Nieces Rachel, Sophia, Melanie, Deborah, Maureen and Margaret;
Nephews Michael and David;
First cousin Gwen Lady Brancker and cousin Eulene Wilkinson;
Innumerable family members and friends.
The funeral of the late Murrell Keith Whittaker leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. for St. George Parish Church, the Glebe, St. George where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 p.m. for the Service of Celebration; followed by the interment in the Churchyard. Full military honours will be accorded.
The organist and members of the church choir are kindly asked to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that there be a special collection at the church to be donated to the Myeloma, Lymphoma and Leukaemia Foundation.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 4 – 6 p.m.
