Retired Manager of Chefette Restaurants Limited and Bible Study Teacher of Grazettes Primary School passed away on June 22, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Cassandra Brathwaite;
Wife of the late Benjamin Leonard;
Devoted mother of Lebanon Brathwaite, Kyrell Younker (both of the USA) and the late Carl Brathwaite;
Dear sister of Palmiro Roach (UK), Natika Barnes & the late Rev. Hugh Best (USA) and Carlton Brathwaite;
Loving grandmother of Elijah and Tamisha Brathwaite, Jayden and Chantal Brathwaite, Ethan & Sahara Younker (USA) and Matthew Watson;
Mother-in-law of Jesse Younker & Dawn (USA);
Aunt of Dr. Nigel Best, Wesley, Omar, Naomi, Jessica & Rosalind Best, and Dr Katrina Best (USA);
Sister-in-Law of Philip Roach (UK), Maureen Best (USA) and Ruth Brathwaite;
Relative of the Alleyne family;
Close friend of Barbara Callender, Monica Turney, Cecilia Nurse, Marguerita Grazette, Anderson Roberts and Moretta Worrell-Best.
The funeral takes place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rendezvous, Christ Church on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.; followed by the interment at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church.
Mourning colours are optional.
Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11, 2024 no later than 7 a.m.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
