Mother-in-Law of Laurie Cumberbatch;
Supportive partner of Steve Prescod;
She was the sister of Livingstone Harvey, Euletha Streeks, the late Eureka Cumberbatch and Ruth Gill.
A much-loved granddaughter of the late Rose Cumberbatch;
A beloved niece of Mark & Eudine Broome, Ernesta Jordan, Orville Cumberbatch, & the late Ruth, Beresford, Vere, James, and Delerita Cumberbatch;
Aunt to Pat Gill, Jason Harvey and Jonelle Johnson;
Her life was made richer by her many cousins including Irene, St. Elmo, Shari, Roger, Ryan, Raymond, Rohan, Nadine, Everton, Alison, Keith, Stephen, Peter, Anthony, Chesterfield, Pauline, Janelle, Fay, Marcus, Marvin; the late Julie and Louis Jordan;
A relative of the Maynard, Bowen, Slocombe, and Cumberbatch families;
Friend of Fabian Broome, Robert Hinds, Janice Jones, Sandra Fagan, Ricky Briggs, Patrick, Adina, Shirley, the dedicated staff of The Marriott White Plains and many others.
The celebration of life and interment for Joan Francina Cumberbatch takes place at the St. Thomas Parish Church on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 3 p.m. preceded by viewing from 2 p.m.
The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend. Flowers may be sent to Downes & Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, no later than 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
