Eudeen Ernesta Harewood, known to many as “Deane”

Aged 88 of Casuarina Estate, St. Philip; retired Nurse and resident of London, UK entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Daughter of the late Vivian Beckles and James Pinder;

Wife of the late Felix Harewood;

Mother of Heather, Trevor and the late Anthony Harewood (UK);

Grandmother of Adela & Toyin Harewood, Mali & Aiyana Gunter (UK);

Sister of the late Errol Gooding;

Aunt of Judith Phillip;

Great-aunt of Steve, Tracy and Carla Phillip;

Cousin of Margaret Pollard, Marva Harris, Margo Proverbs, the late Lilias Jones, and others;      

Mother-in-Law of Grace Harewood and Anthony Gunter;

Godmother of Marva Sealy;

Relative of the Jones, Pollard, Beckles, Proverbs and Harewood families;

Friend of Vicky Morton, Bertina, Stanton, Gayle & Ryan Harewood, Rita Springer, Carnetta Harewood, the staff at Care of the Elderly Nursing Home, the Sealy family, Tamika Welch, Jenny Welch, Joanne Forde, Linda Bascombe, Vadna Howard, Marva Barrow; and others in the UK and Barbados.

The funeral leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2026 for the Church of the Holy Trinity, Ruby, St Philip where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. for the service; followed by the interment.

The organist and members of the choir are asked to attend. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael no later than 7 a.m.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
