November 17, 2025 at 4:07 pm“Gran”, I always left off the “ny” because I needed my own affectionate title. I can reflect on the words of wisdom I frequently heard, the philanthropy I witnessed in Risk Road from the house in the corner, the maternal charisma always showcased dealing with the family, yet, my fondest memories are of my many occasions, delighting to Gran’s culinary skills. She could cook. To be honest I can’t think of one specific meal that was her signature dish, it was like whatever she took from the cupboard and placed in a pot became the finest dining experience anyone could ask for, even the simplest of meals.
Thank you Gran, for not only feeding my palate but more so my mind and soul. Thank you for accepting me into your home, your family and your earthly pilgrimage, your heavenly journey has begun.
Rest in Peace and Rise Gloriously on that GRAND day.
