Of Rowans Park, St. George; retired Chief Welfare Officer, devoted member of St. George Parish Church and ordained Lay-Preacher in the Methodist Church entered into rest on July 14, 2021.
Wife of Roland Mendez;
Daughter of the late Winifred and Ashton Jemmott;
Beloved mother of Dr. Gabrielle Mendez and the late Jason Deane;
Cherished sister of Ralph Jemmott (retired Teacher of Harrison College), Susan Daniel (Canada), Julia Mayers (retired Financial Adviser of Clico Insurance) and Claire Millington (Barbados Community College);
Mother-in-law of Dr. Rico Boyce;
Sister-in-law of Lorraine Jemmott, Geoffrey Daniel (Canada), Winston Mendez, Maureen Lothian, Ruth O’Callahan and Florence Cranston(all of the USA), Douglas, Danzil, Linda, and Harold Mendez (all of Jamaica);
Aunt of David and Craig (Jamaica), Ian (Canada), Therese, Stuart, Rachelle, Faith and Jonathan;
Dear friend of Marquitta Rayside, Cicely Spencer-Cross, Clair Waithe, Pat Arthur, Teressa Daniel (St. Vincent), Cynthia Wiltshire, Pat Watts and many others.
The funeral for Angela “Ann” Mendez, leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, July 30, 2021 for St. George Parish Church, The Glebe, St. George where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. for the service of thanksgiving. Interment will follow at the Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens.
