Aged 91 of Trident Avenue South, Husbands Gardens, St. James and Green Haven Senior Citizens’ Home; retired Minister of Religion entered peacefully into rest on Friday, May 27, 2022.
Son of the late Olive Riley and Benjamin Phillips;
Beloved husband of Shirley Phillips (retired Teacher of Ellerslie Secondary School);
Brother of Waveney Barrtt (USA) and Wanda Phillips (Guyana);
Uncle of Patsy Holder, Marilyn Thornhill, Jenny Pereira, Clavel Headley, Apostle Lester Thornhill, Morine LaRose (all of the USA), Dr. Dianne Greaves, Ian Campbell and many others;
Cousin of Jenny Hyman (USA), Hubert Hyman (Guyana) and many others;
Son-in-Law of the late Rev Simeon and Stella Greaves;
Brother-in-Law of Clairmont, LeRoy, Rev Everton and Neville Greaves;
Relative of the Phillips, Hyman, Jordan and Campbell families;
Friend of Pastor Lyris Forde, Pastor Eulese Griffith, Evangelist Trevor Francis and Mrs Doriel Francis, John Inniss and family, Andrew Skeete, Michael Kilkenny, Rev Ormond Morris (USA), the late Rev Whitfield Knight and many others in Barbados, the Caribbean, the USA, UK and Nigeria.
The funeral of Reverend Benjamin Oliver Phillips leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 9 a.m. for The Chapel of Westbury Cemetery, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet for the service at 10 a.m. followed by the interment at Westbury Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
