The REVEREND COLTON VESPRY BENNETT, BSS, JP, DipTH, MJF

Age 93, of Thorpes Terrace, St. James entered into eternal rest on Monday 29thAugust, 2022. Long serving member of the Methodist Church of the Caribbean.

Chaplin – Queen Elizabeth Hospital; Psychiatric Hospital

Barbados Nurses Association – President, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Registered General Nurse

Health Educator – First Nursing Tutor of the Psychiatric Hospital

Lions Club International – Member for over 50 years. District Governor of Sub District 60B 1996-97: Charter President of the Lions Club of Barbados East

National Union of Public Workers – Vice President.

Son of the late Percival and Vernilla Bennett;

Husband of Marilene Patricia Bennett, and former husband of the late Daphne Eltora Bennett;

Father of Dr. J. Eltora Bennett and Cheryl Bennett-Inniss;

Grandfather of Kerri Bennett-Ferdinand, Kyle and Kaileigh Bennett-Walcott, Skye and Rayne Inniss;

Great grandfather of Elisa Miliucci;

Brother of the late Talcie Springer;

Uncle of Trevor Springer and Carla Springer Hunte;

Great Uncle of Danielle and Haley Springer and Chioma Hunte;

Cousin of Cecily Spencer-Cross and Rupert Spencer;

Father-in-law of Ian Inniss and the late Ian Walcott;

Brother-in-law of Carl Springer, Owen Legall and Michael Cummins;

Friend of many.

A service to celebrate the life and works of the REVEREND COLTON VESPRY BENNETT will be held on Thursday, 8th September, 2022 at the James Street Methodist Church, James Street, Bridgetown, where family and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for a Service of Thanksgiving. The cortege will then proceed to the Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery for the interment.
No mourning colours are preferred.

In Lieu of Flowers the family suggest a donation may be made for the Hurd Memorial Restoration and Youth Development Fund.

Viewing will take place on Wednesday, 7th September, 2022 at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Ebenezer, St. Philip from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

THE WEARING OF MASKS FOR ALL CEREMONIES IS MANDATORY.
