We announce the passing of Gertrude Theresa Greenidge known to most as ‘Trudy” of Flagstaff Road, St. Michael, Barbados; formerly of Port of Spain, Trinidad and London, UK departed this life on Sunday, 14th April, 2024.
Beloved wife of Collin Greenidge;
Daughter of the late Irene Mason and the late Fred Benoit;
Loving mother of Edward and Alan Greenidge;
Sister of Dr. Sharie Benoit and Reynold Mason;
Aunt of Sascha James-Conterelli, Michelle, Michael, Kathleen and Sean Mason;
Sister-in-law of Joan Farrell, Dr. Ann Fergusson, the late Justice Lionel Greenidge, the late Merville Greenidge and Delores Mason;
Cousin to Ermine Agard (Mable), Hummie Calliste, Lena Douggan (Tessie), Dellis Morris, Avis Paul, Bernadette Peters (Reta), and many others;
Godmother of Carlyle Clark;
Friend to Sheila and Sonia Weekes, Rudolph Clarke, Pat Howell, Moreen Vaughan, the Clothesline Society, Denise Colucci Dance Class and the former Miami Beach Dolphins.
The funeral of the late Gertrude Theresa Greenidge leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Thursday, 02nd May, 2024 at 8:15 a.m. for the Chapel of Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the Service followed by the interment. Tributes will commence from 9:30 a.m. Mourning Colours are Optional.
Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, 02nd May, 2024.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, 01st May, 2024 from 4-6 p.m.
