Grace Babb September 2, 2020

GRACE EURITA BABB aged 76 of Plum Tree Avenue, Welches Terrace, St. Thomas; retired Child Care Supervisor (The Farm Day Nursery) and former Receptionist at Chaderton Medical Center entered peacefully into rest on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at her residence.

Daughter of the late Esme Cooke-Johnson;

Devoted mother of Dr. Deborah Babb and Sean Babb (Sales Consultant);

Sister of Esther Johnson-Howard, Shirley Holder, Evadney, Beverley and Mildred Johnson, Loretta Williams, Seymour Bignall, Joan Maycock and the late Phamsy Forde-Evans, Gladstone and Frank Johnson;

Aunt of Dr. Sheron Johnson, Jamar, Lionel and Henderson Johnson, Anthony Bignall, and many others;

Relative of the Johnson and Babb families;

Friend of Grace Lady Jordan and family, Margaret Haynes, Erin Ishmael, Sylvia Arthur-Hurdle, Shirley Holder, the Moses family, and the late Wilma Maynard and Ursuline Beckles and many others.

The Funeral of the late Grace Eurita Babb leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Friday, 11th September, 2020 at 1:45 p.m. for St. Leonard’s Anglican Church Westbury Road, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 p.m. for the service followed by the interment.

The Organist and members of the Church Choir are kindly asked to attend. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 12:00 noon on Friday, 11th September, 2020.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, 10th September, 2020 from 4 – 6 p.m.

    Condolences to the Babb and Johnson family. I remember growing up with Grace in Barbados. I hadn’t seen her in over 50 years. May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory. Remember not to mourn as those without hope, for our hope lies in Christ Jesus.
