Jacqueline Yvette Gill, aged 61 of Blackman’s Development, St. Joseph; Hansard Reporter of the Parliament of Barbados, entered peacefully into rest on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

Jackie was a symbol of strength; encouraging and helpful; always there for her family and those she loved. She will be missed.

Daughter of the late Julian and Ruby Greaves;

Devoted mother of Corey and Karisha Small (Canada);

Cherished sister of Coswin Gill and Pamela Grant (both of the USA), Stephani Greaves (Canada), Monica Jordan, Goulbourne Gill (retired Postal Inspector), Harcourt and Glenville Gill, Paulette Gill (Government Printing Department), Sonia Boyce (Child Care Board), Stephenson Greaves (Barbados Fire Service), the late Barbara Gill-Kennedy and Una Greaves;

Aunt of Rosanette Cooke (Senior Health Sister), Allison Jordan, Antonio Boyce(both of the Barbados Water Authority), Kim and Karen Gill (both of the USA), Chantal, Brandon and Jaden Hack (all of Canada),  Ian, Glenfield, Deighton, Ronald, Adrian “Redman”, Ryan, Damian, Dario, Renaldo, Terrence “DJ Shaq”, Oneal, Tricia and Chad Gill, Nasima Parris, Lesley Chapman-Andrews, Kymario and Lennis Greaves, Heather Foster, Jaden and Joshua Grant;

Great aunt of Adrianne Carrington and many others;

Cousin of Velda Austin, Bentley Boyce, Lynette Deane, Owen, Antoinette, Kenrick, Peter and Roslyn Gill, Keith, Lilian, Patsy, Vondene and  Gloria Forde and many others;

Sister-in-law of Carl Boyce (Barbados Water Authority), Gary Grant, Jullita Gill (both of the USA), Philip Kennedy and Dorothy Gill;

Relative of the Forde, Foster, Greaves, Kellman, Marshall and Springer families;

Special friend of Neville Small;

Friend of Carol Grant-Cumberbatch, Vilma Scantlebury-Bradshaw, Natasha Ince, Jacqueline Norville, Jennifer Holder, Barvine Bradshaw, Lucille Adamson, Patricia Chase, the Pastor and members of the Beth-Eden Wesleyan Holiness Church and staff of the Parliament of Barbados.

The funeral of the late Jacqueline Yvette Gill leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St Michael on Friday, April 8 2022 at 11:30 a.m. for White Park Wesleyan Holiness Church, Whitepark Road, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1 p.m. for the service. The funeral will then proceed to the St. Joseph Parish Churchyard for the interment.

Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 10 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

All Covid-19 protocols must be acknowledged.
