JOYCE ELAINE KING aged 87 of Haynesville, St. James and formerly of Bend Hill, St. Peter peacefully departed this life on Saturday, 17th February, 2024.
Daughter of the late Dalrymple Griffith and Catherine Cadogan;
Wife of the late Sylvan King and reputed wife of the late Alfred Cox;
Mother of Orma, Alvin, Mark and Gregory King, Janice Roach and the late Margaret Blades;
Grandmother of Donna Applewhite, Ashlee, Tabitha and Ebony Blades, Sasha and Dominic King, Kyle Price and Marius Leslie;
Adoptive Grandmother of Robert Applewhite;
Great-Grandmother of Zahara Applewhite, Eden Blades and Nyala King;
Sister of Velmo Cadogan (former Fire Chief), Geoffrey Griffith (USA) and the late Onita Welch, Gloria and Leroy Cadogan;
Aunt of Maureen, Joan, Margaret, Ricky, Tracey, Tara, Diane, Andrea and many others

Mother-in-law of Lawrence Blades and Lloyd Roach
Sister-in-law of Eleanor and Michelle Cadogan
Friend of Onita Leacock, Rovena Watson, Francine Elcock, Velma Grazettes and many others who predeceased her.
The funeral of the late Joyce Elaine King leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, on Saturday, 09th March,, 2024 at 8:15 a.m. for The Church of St. John the Baptist, Thorpes, St. James where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the service. The funeral will then proceed to the St. James Cemetery for the interment.
The organist and members of the Church Choir are kindly asked to attend. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, 9th March, 2024.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Friday 8th March, 2024 from 4 – 6 p.m.
