LORNA EVELYN SCANTLEBURY née RUCK aged 78 of Romford, England and formerly of Vauxhall, Christ Church Barbados entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, 25th June, 2022 in the UK.

Devoted wife of the late Glenvere Scantlebury of (54) years;

Beloved mother of Andria Scantlebury;

Cherished grandmother of Marteyn Scantlebury;

Dearest sister of Esther Mayers,  Leslie and Marcia Ruck, and the late Claude Ruck, Esther Allsopp, Johnnie Pile and Winston Mayers ;

Loving aunt of Pat Mayers, Lenore Lovell, Cheryll Barrow, David and Peggy Ruck, Zelda

Mondere, Stacy-ann Ruck-Clarke, Akeeba Layne, Frederick, Glenvere, Junior and Nicole Harris, Andrea and Debra Mayers (USA), Heather Graham, Lorna Harris and Anderson Allsopp (USA) and many others in Barbados, UK, and USA;

Great aunt of many;

Sister in law of Maureen Harris-Ruck;

Relative of the Ruck and Moore families;

Friend of Anthony Babb, Jillian Mayers, the Scantlebury family, Mark Lowe, Diana Wickham and Dennis Alleyne (Green Floor Bar), Kendrick Murrell and Sandra Jordan

The funeral of the late Lorna Evelyn Scantlebury née Ruck leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St Michael on Wednesday, 20th July, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. for Vauxhall Methodist Church, Adams Castle, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the thanksgiving service; The funeral will then proceed to the Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church for the interment.

The Organist and members of the Church Choir are kindly asked to attend. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 11 a.m. on Wednesday, 20th July, 2022.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Tuesday, 19th July, 2022 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

All Covid-19 protocols must be acknowledged.

    Deepest condolences to all the family. There are no words to ease the pain of loss especially for the loss of someone so true of heart and love.
