Over four months have passed since her passing but my time of working and relating to her is still fresh in my mind. Always one to see the funny side of any event in life, Marion Mayers would always be the life of any party. When I first joined the staff of Roberts Manufacturing, I had to worked closely with her and right away she made the journey a comfortable one. Mayersie, as she was familiarly known, always had a story and was well received by virtually every member of staff, including management. She saw herself as an adviser, mother and counsellor whether you asked for it or not. But you know if you chose not to listen, you could be chastised with another story as well. So her memory will live on for a long time. Belated sympathies to Shelly and Terrence.
