Maureen Marcelle Withers age 72 of Balsdon Land, Rendezvous, Christ Church, former Cook of the Child Care Board entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at her residence.
Daughter of the late Joyce Hoyte;
Loving mother of Wayne Simmons (The People’s Cathedral), Noel Withers Jnr (West Indies Rum Distillery), Carol-Ann, Michael and Anderson Withers and Everton Withers (UK);
Adoptive mother of Andrea Bovell (Queen Elizabeth Hospital);
Grandmother of Omar, Tameisha and Sa-te-ra Niles, Corey and Chanice Simmons, Timome Evelyn, Noel Boyce, Micah and Ramiah Withers, Shamar Carter and others;
Great grandmother of Cherry-Anne and Tadre Niles, Shacorey Simmons, Khaleesi Durant and others;
Sister to Virginia Hoyte, David Hoyte (UK), Winston Watkins (USA) and the late Reverend Trevor Hoyte;
Aunt of Benjamin Hoyte (UK), Carl, Melenda, Raj and Monique Watkins (all of the USA), Kevin and Kirk Hoyte and many others;
Mother-in-law of Sangine Simmons and Sally Withers;

The funeral of the late Maureen Marcelle Withers leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Friday, July 12, 2019 at noon for The People’s Cathedral, Bishops Court Hill, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. for the service; followed by the interment at the Westbury cemetery. Mourning colours are optional.
Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, on Friday, July 12, 2019 no later than 11 a.m.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
