Monte Chesterfield Burgess aged 96 of Marchfield Village Road, St. Philip, formerly of Bowmanston, St. John and the UK. retired Painter Decorator entered peacefully into rest on Monday, 28th October 2024.
Husband of the late Sheila Burgess.
Father of Brenda Rochester, Andy, Valerie and Judith Burgess, Eustace Smith and the late Colin Grosvenor.
Grandfather of Njeri, Latoya, Petra, Ria, Chadley, Kareem and Anika Burgess, Travis Stoute and Ryan Rochester.
Great-grandfather of 5.
Brother of Lillian Gay, Marie Callender, the late George Burgess, Melvina White and Doris Nurse.
Uncle of Hazel Holder, Norma Wiltshire, Mardel Gay, Glyne Nurse, Neal Holder and others.
Relative of the Burgess, Lorde, Belle and Bascombe families.

The funeral of the late Monte Chesterfield Burgess leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Friday, 22nd November 2024 at 8:15 a.m. for St. Philip Parish Church, Parish Land, St. Philip where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. for the service. The funeral will then proceed to St. John Parish Cemetery for the interment.
The Organist and members of the Church Choir are kindly asked to attend. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael no later than 7 a.m. on Friday, 22nd November 2024.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respect at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Thursday, 21st November 2024 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
