EVADNIE IRENE BRATHWAITE née WALKES aged 62 of Howard Land, Bush Hall Yard Gap, St. Michael; well known “Bread Woman” of Lower Broad Street, Bridgetown and devoted member of Hindsbury Church of Christ entered peacefully into rest Thursday, 31^st October, 2019 at her residence.

Daughter of the late Louise Walkes and Lionel Codrington;

Wife of Errol Brathwaite;

Mother of Charmaine Potter (USA), Sophia Walkes (KRC Commissary) and Ronnie Walkes (Sandals);

Grandmother of Emroy Samuel (St. Vincent), Jamar, Jerome and Romario Walkes, Troy Riley, Jared Lewis, Ronniequan Griffith and Kalika Catwell;

Great-grandmother of Jamaro Walkes;

Sister of Cecil Walkes (USA), Anthony Walkes (England), Kenneth Bracey (Wavell Avenue Black Rock), the late Ermel and Shirley Walkes;

Aunt of many;

Godmother of 13;

Relative of the Walkes, Codrington and Brathwaite families;

Beloved friend of Sister Clarke and family, Shakira Bridgeman, Juliet Burnette, Sandre Waithe, Marcella Ramsay and family, Jasmine Babb, Jasmine Phillips, Diana Clarke, the Pastors and members of the Church of Christ and several others;

The funeral for the late EVADNIE IRENE BRATHWAITE née WALKES leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Saturday, 09^th November, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. for Barbarees Hill Church of Christ, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the service. The funeral will then proceed to the Westbury Cemetery for the interment.

Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 7.00 a.m. on Saturday, 09^th November, 2019.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, 08^th November, 2019 from 4 – 6 p.m.
