It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we announced the passing of EVERTON BOWEN aged 84 of 1st Street Holetown, St. James; former Chief Supply Officer of Central Purchasing entered peacefully into rest on Friday, 15th July 2022 at his residence.
Son of the late Goulbourne and Pearl Bowen;
Loving husband of Muriel Bowen;
Beloved father of Carla Remington-Bowen and Ron Ricardo Bowen;
Cherished stepfather of Cecelia and Ian Sandiford;
Adoptive grandfather of Theresa and Jestina Sandiford;
Dearest brother of the late Beulah Bowen and Veda Allman née Bowen of Canada;
Uncle of Wendy, Jeffrey and Richard Allman of (Canada), Sondra Green and others;
Cousin of Lionel Carrington, Ryan Harper, Peggy Hinkson, Mark Bowen, Joan and Joyce Clarke;
Brother in law of Conrad Grant;
Relative of the Bowen, Carrington and Clarke families;
Friend of Desmond Alkins, Lionel Weekes, Dr. Carlisle and Maxine Goddard, Louise Armstrong, Margaret Best, Rosemary Mayers, James Wilson and the staff at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home and many others.
The funeral of the late Everton Bowen leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Friday, 05th August, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. for The Community Berean Bible Baptist Church, Colleton, St. Peter where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. for the service. The funeral will then proceed to the St. James Cemetery for the interment.
Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, on Friday, 05th August, 2022 no later than 8:00 a.m.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, 04th August, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
