Geoffrey Leroy Johnson

Affectionately known as “JJ”

Aged 67 of Haynesville, St. James; retired Driver of the National Conservation Commission and former employee of Sandy Lane entered peacefully into rest on April 17, 2020.

 Son of Ursuline and the late George Johnson;

Companion of Venis Lavine;

Father of Kirk Ward, Kim Ward (USA) and the late Jamal Johnson;

Grandfather of Kaniel Ward (USA);

Brother of Sylvester Mounter (UK), Joseline and Sophia Mounter, David Johnson and the late Anthony, Grantley and Cynthia Mounter;

Uncle of Sharon and Sophia Mounter (both of the UK), Omari, Shineka, Tahirah, Tanisha, Afiya, Jessica, Marvin, Ijaham, Jelani, Jemila and Nisheka Mounter, Nkosi Mounter-Taitt, Chanice Grant, Paul, Mark and Mary Worrell, Tyrek Forde, Sabrina and Jason Maynard;

Relative of the Skeete and Cadogan families;

Friend of Erskine “Rusty” Callender, Angela Bascombe, Courtney Watson, Fred Holder, Shontelle Hackette, Julia Bonnett, the management and staff of the National Conservation Commission and others.

Geoffrey Leroy Johnson will be interred at the Westbury Cemetery on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Wreaths may be sent to Downes & Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, no later than 8 a.m.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes & Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, April 27, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
