Cherished and loving mother of Reverend Dr. Michael Ricardo Holford (Abundant Life Assembly and formerly of The Bank of Nova Scotia) and Mark Holford (The Vega Group);
Loving and amazing grandmother of Cruz, Ace, Zachary and Zarren Holford;
Beloved mother-in-law of Alicia Holford and Dr. Lois Applewhite-Holford;
Sister of Eleanor Forde, Lionel Newton, Daise, Winston, Wilbert, Luther and William Forde;
Sister-in-law of Grace Waithe, Oakley Brathwaite and Frances Holder (USA); Esther Thornhill, Apostles Stephen & Sandra Holford (New Dimensions Ministries), Dennis Thornhill, Bismarck, Hazel and the late Charles Holford;
Precious aunt of many;

A Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Gloria Angela Holford takes place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at The Abundant Life Assembly, Haynes Hill, St. Michael. The interment follows at the Westbury Cemetery.
Flowers may be sent to Downes & Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, October 22, 2022, no later than 7 a.m.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes & Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Almighty God, you brought many people to me during these years,
There were a special few who brought smiles, and some quelled tears.
Rare was this lady, she possessed a range of abilities,
I felt the enormity of her many admirable qualities.
Blessed I was to have benefited from her grace,
Unlimited affection and her smiling face.
There was never a time she wouldn't lend an ear,
Every time she listened and would always share,
Faithfully, her understanding of my troubles, and also she would,
Offer a solution, in a way that I understood.
Referencing scriptures that supported her opinion,
Giving realistic day to day practices to fuel my religion.
Lord, they named her Gloria and she grew full of your Glory,
Our lives were made so much better when she entered our story.
Righteousness was the only way she chose to go,
I felt the glory from her and outwardly it would show.
Angela was her middle name, and an angel she would be,
Assured of her place in God’s Eternity.
Never seeming to harbor a bad thought, had the purest mind,
God gave her to us and she was truly, one of a kind.
Every conversation with me, she had few words to say,
Listened attentively to everything I wanted to convey.
And then, she chose her words carefully,
Her words were always very few, but they said plenty.
On the job she showed great commitment to her boss,
Loyal to the fault and if our paths should cross,
Found the best way to moved together with harmony,
Outstanding foresight and perception, her work inspired many.
Righteous were her words, at work, home, church, any place they could be heard,
Dear Lord, she showed great service to you and to us,
now bestow your best on Gloria Angela Holford.
