of Rowans Park, St. George; Founder and Owner of Bajan Cleaning Enterprises Ltd, Steamatic Barbados Limited and Sugar Cane Mall; past student of the Lodge School; past President of the Barbados Judo Association and Judo Team Manager for the 1996 & 2000 Olympics, entered peacefully into rest on Friday, July 5, 2019.
Son of the late: Carlisle and Claudine Payne;
Beloved husband of Ann Payne;
Devoted father of Andrew and Lisa Payne and Trina Minors;
Grandfather of Tariq, Kallis and Dari Minors, Jody and Gabriella Greene;
Brother of the late Anita Harewood, Osmond Rock and Frank Grimes;
Uncle of Denise Rock-Fraser;
Cousin of Grazelda Marshall, Pat Marshall-Mapp, Gaddrie Frere and Maureen Shepherd;
Father-in-law of Keisha Payne and Jade Minors;
Brother in-law-of Wilfred, David, Philip and the late Paul Best;
Godfather of Rommel Edwards;
Relative of the Marshall, Byer, Grimes, Crookendale and Payne families;
Friend of Michael Chandler, Carlton Hinds and many others.
The funeral of the late Hallam Ian Carlisle Payne, JP leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 8:15 a.m. for St. George Parish Church, the Glebe, St. George where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. for the service; followed by the interment in the Churchyard.
The Organist and members of the Church Choir are kindly asked to attend. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 no later than 7 a.m.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 4 – 6 p.m.
