The funeral of the late Vere Sheldon Walcott leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 12 noon for Abundant Life Assembly, Haynes Hill, Bank Hall, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. for the service The funeral will then proceed to the St. James Cemetery for the interment. Tributes will commence at 1 p.m.
Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

December 6, 2020 at 11:09 amMy Brother Vere Walcott I met while he was attending Zion Bible institute in East Providence, Rhode Island. I am from Providence Rhode Island and was attending Faith School of Theology in Brooklin, Maine. He was a true Child of God and His testimony of Salvation in Christ Jesus was sure. He invited me to go back to the islands with me but my calling to take the Gospel was going on another direction. I just noticed that he died, he passed to live again forever because he gave his heart to Jesus. So I say to family, friends and the world. If you open your heart to Jesus Christ and let Him forgive you of all your sins. John 3:16. Vere I won’t say good bye because I will see you again! It is the True Word of the Almighty God.
