VERNA GIBSON-STOUTE of Light Foot Lane, St. Michael, member of the Diabetic Association, retired Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and former Secretary of James Street Women’s League entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, 22nd October, 2022 at her residence.
Wife of Pedro Stoute (Driving Instructor);
Mother of Sherriann Stoute;
Grandmother to Jalisa Estwick and Jacobi Holder;
Great grandmother of two;
Sister of Marian Walters, Martin and Muriel Gibson (all of Canada), the late Beresford Bourne (Christ Church), and Kenneth Bourne (Trinidad);
God mother of Ashida Foster and Pastor Tevenca Haynes;
Sister in Law to Grantley and Patricia Stoute (USA), Granville Prescod, Evelyn Chase, Henry Stoute and Angela Gilkes;
Relative of the Gibson, Prescod, Stoute, Jones, Greenidge, Holder, Bourne, Sealy, Daniel and the Haynes families;
Friend to the James Street Methodist Church family and Care Giver Nadine Turton.
A thanksgiving service to celebrate the life of Verna Gibson-Stoute will be held on Saturday, 26th November 2022 at James Street Methodist Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1 p.m. The funeral will then proceed to the Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church for the interment.
The Organist and members of the Women’s League are kindly asked to attend. Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, 26th November, 2022 no later than 11:00 a.m.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, 25th November, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
