Former President of Barbados Overseas Community and Friends Association (BOCFA) and Deputy High Commissioner for Barbados in the UK.

Son of the late Rosalie Knight née Eversley and Harold Leon Knight;

Companion of Judy Scantlebury;

Loving father of Jennifer Eversley, Owen Eversley Jnr, Caroline Eversley-John and Ricardo Eversley;

Grandfather of Phillip and Omar Eversley-Bispham, Alisha and Asa Eversley-John, Saffronn and Rhea Fernando-Eversley, Owen Eversely III, Sabrina Eversley and DeMario Ricardo Eversley;

Great grandfather of Raniyah Samuels;

Brother of Violet, Darnley, Mona, Gloria, Marva, Cherland, Sylvester, Tyrone, Leila, Malcolm, Ainsley and Wilma;

Uncle of Raquel, Renee, Anthony, Angela, Ricardo, Colin, Rose, Margaret, Trevor, Amanda, Delroy, Ian, Dwayne, Rosaline, Pamela, Michael, Donna, Lawton, Cecil, Ainsley, Beverly, Grace, Steven, Karl, Kurwyn, Grace and Tajahna;

Former husband of Isolene Eversley and Judy Eversley;

Friend and relative of Ernesta Brathwaite, Collin Carter (African-Caribbean Funeral Services, UK),the Eversley and Knight families, Barbadians home and abroad and many others.

The funeral Celebrating the Life of Dr. Owen Oswal Eversley, OBE takes place on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Abundant Life Assembly, Haynes Hill, Bank Hall, St Michael at 10am Interment at St James cemetery. A donation for the Barbados Cancer Society will be collected.

Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, Friday, February 14, 2020 no later than 8 a.m.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) Headquarters, George Street, St Michael on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Dr Owen Oswald Eversley, OBE, on their loss. Owen Eversley was magnanimous, wonderful, personable and compassionate; a much loved person, friend and former colleague. It was a privilege to know him. It is difficult to believe he has passed and I take comfort that Jehovah has a better place awaiting him. A loss to me and so many others.
