Eudora Vernesta Griffith, affectionately known as “Mammie” or “Gran” of Parish Land, Christ Church passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Augustus and Iona Gibson;

Wife of the late Elton Griffith;

Mother of Marcena Harding (UK), Sonia Griffith (USA), Floyd and Ann Griffith;

Adoptive mother of Moretta Best;

Sister of Calford Gibson (UK) and Shirlen Trotman;

Grandmother of Kendra Griffith-Jones (USA), Kimesha (deceased) and Jevon Harding (both of the UK), and Sasha Griffith (USA);

Mother-in-law of Geoffrey Harding (UK);

Sister-in-law of Gloria Gibson (UK);

Aunt of Juanita Atkins (USA), Yvette & Cynthia Harbin, Judith Gibson, (all of the UK), Sherenne Phillips and Evangelist Sandra Singh;

Great-aunt of Natasha Atkins-Adamson (USA), Suediann Conlisse, Dr. Donna-Mae Fierras, and Haresh Singh;

Great-great aunt of Luke Conlisse and Arabelle Fierras;

Cousin of Patricia Taylor & family, Esther Best & family, Esther Gibson & family, Lynette Lashley & family, Godwin Blades & family, and Linda James & family;

Close friend of Cora Calender and Linda Ellis;

The funeral for Eudora Vernesta Griffith leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Saturday, June 24, 2023 for Providence Methodist Church, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. for the Service, followed by interment at the Christ Church cemetery, Christ Church.

Wreaths may be sent to Downes and Wilson Funeral Home no later than 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Downes and Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, June 23 2023 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
